 Friday, October 11, 2013 a Road show  was organized by the first portal of world famous tourist destination sahastradhara at Gandhi park gate, DehraDun .

The portal paidIndian Army , Indian Air Force , Indian Navy ,ITBP , NDRF, Uttrakhand Police in the form of operation ‘RAHAT’ .  Apart from that many civil helicopters for providing relief & rescue operation to the people.

Tribute to all those who lost their lives in the Floods that Ravaged the Uttrakhand in June 2013.one of the most tragic incident in the history of India . At the same time, many gallant & heroic rescue missions were undertaken  in the worst weather condition by the highly spirited personnel of the

Pankaj Kanojia ,Director www.sahastradhara.co.in Thanked the Brave soldiers of Indian Armed Forces & above all the Honest Uttrakhandi’s . who were well aware of the dangers present and went ahead with the rescue mission  and weresuccessful in saving Thousands – Thousands of Lives.

Inclement weather in the morning reminds me again of the agony and the devastating  disaster  that happened in  the month of AUG'2011 tragedy on  JANAMASTHMI ....same occasion everyone at sahastradhara chanting  "Jai Shri Krishan Jai sri Radhe Hare Rama Hare Krishna" since morning. Some of the villagers were on fast as usual daily routine work.

  Shopkeepers opened their shops waiting for tourists to come and have fun while enjoying the awesome beauty of the sahastradhara and take a dip in the sulfur falls .it rained in the afternoon,hence their were only few tourists left in the evening. All the villagers from nearby villages also gathered at the ancient lord Shiv Temple where Guru Dronacharya Worshipped and meditated in the caves during the Mahabharata period.

Everone chanted bhajans at the temple till 12.00 at night. It was raining though thunderstorm, but no one bothered about it as it use to be always. And then suddenly their was a huge sound..nobody could understand what had happened? the water level rose in the river baldi  drastically with heavy bolder in large numbers the sound of bolder can be heard at a distance . The pradhan of the village got a call from the village  abut the CLOUDBURST at  3.5 km from Sahastradhara towards Mussorire / Dhanolti Road, Karligarh Gram Sabha ..... they could n't imagine the Massive Disaster...they phone the Local Administration, Police ,MLA for help at midnight but no one responded it was  next day in the morning at 6  a.m  my cell phone started ringing from the villagers i know for help asking for almost 100 laborers, digging equipment's, bundles of ropes

 It was for the first time that i received calls from the journalists i know of daily Hindi newspapers about the disaster that took place at sahastradhara..the journalist wanted the incident to be confirmed so kept calling my cellphone ,on the other hand i was getting calls from the friends at the village for immediate help  no one could exactly locate the place of the cloudburst on the phone, then i call my hotel staff n gather the information about the disaster n the safety of my people who stays at the hotel at night around 7.30 i started responding to the calls of Journalist n confirming the news of cloudburst at karligarh gram sabha not sahastradhara..at 8.a.m i took first aid kit from my travelling bag n some breads ,biscuits  juices  along with my cook started for sahastradhara from my home at Rajpur Road my cellphone kept on ringing from the media persons who never bother to call  earlier for news abut the events i organised to promote sahastradhara on different occasion

   On my way to the spot i saw a lot of media-persons trying to reach the spot ,when i reached at my restaurant i first inquired about the staff n my neighboring restaurant ,the people i know. i started gathering the information about cloudburst the damages is their any lost of Human lives, Animals after then we started for the site of cloudburst which was almost 3-4 kms from my place at sahastradhara some of the villagers were returning back from the spot.  we could n't go from the road as their was no road  connectivity, no electricity ,disturb water supply all we took is the alternate path (Pakdandi) the grown up bushes,slippery grass at some places we even cross drenches after a trek of 40 minutes we reached at the site of Cloudburst. first time in my life i  saw the  massive disaster i was shocked even forgot my thirst n the distance  i trek  it was a large site bolder n numbers of small ,big stones laying here n there the no news of lost human lives , livestock's damaged houses broken roads,washed away small bridges which connects the village from one another the government machinery was in action ,the police force along with its head S.SP. Mr. Martoliya searching for the human lives under the debris Panchyat Bhavan  dead bodies of 4 laborers were recovered , 2 buffaloes died no water supply the villagers were in action with the local administration n policemen in black uniform i guess they were from the disaster management relief team as they were equipped with rescue tools altogether they were searching for human lives,photojournalist were taking the pictures. late Mr. Negi's new house which was  under construction was totally damaged in the mean while the  Rajpur MLA Mr. Ganesh Joshi  (preparing to contest from Mussorie)reached the spot soon after Mussorie MLA Mr. Jyotsingh Gunshoola arrived with his supporters they both look restless, helpless, sweating with a wooden stick in Mr. Gunshola's hand  both the MLA's were guiding the Relief Team, when i look towards East it was almost acres of agriculture land washed away with the floods making it barren land. My friend Surseh Rawat told me to look back in the West side of the spot it was the Bolder were on the other side of the River almost at a height of 100-150 feet high from the river 

The villagers were narrating the story to all the people, journalist reaching the spot my cellphone kept on ringing as the news was broadcasting on different news channel all my well wishers wanted to know what happened .We handed over the eatables n first aid kit to the village pradhan had sip of black cup of tea , around 3 p.m we started back to sahastradhara on the way we meet then Chief Minister Mr. Ramesh Porkhriyal 'Nishank' trekking towards the site of Cloudburst Heads off to him at least he took time from his schedule to see the people's suffering in the evening i was narrating the whole incident to every one whom i meet. next day my photograph n interview was in newspapers, news channels.

Today's morning inclement weather wast the same ,the same occasion JANAMASTHMI...."Jai JAi SHRI RADHE Jai Jai Shri KRISHNA"

And so it goes...

Tribute to Indian Soldiers who sacrifice life on LOC... being an Uttarakhandi  i can feel the agony of Martyrs Family the pain n sorrow  may GOD Bless the SOUL Grand SALUTE !

Raining here since  last one hour the clouds are dark & only god know's when is it going to stop..the water level in river has risen up due to heavy current in river baldi .... tourist coming to sahastradhara n other places nearby i would request you not to swim or try to cross river you may get drown ...enjoy rain or get wet
